In line

My series of printed graphics consists of four portraits of grandmothers that I usually look at in line at the post office or mfz. They’ve got big fur hoods, a little bit of a neck scarf, tense foreheads, brightly floating lipstick, and very disgruntled, tired faces.

Bureaucratic expectation is tedious, warm, hot, endless. And it feels useless, wasted time, surrounded by disgruntled grandmothers who don’t take fur hats off. You’re standing in a puddle with a braced gate and a bag of documents in your hands, against the background of «A customer with an E5 plate go to window 4.

The work was done with a dry needle and a coloured stencil. Matrix: 30×40 cm Routine: 50×60 cm
