Alexander Frukht, founder and head of Fruit Design Studio, has developed a series of furniture that can be assembled independently from metal profiles for drywall. Furniture is completed according to simple and clear instructions, which allows anyone to cut a profile using metal scissors, fold it like origami and connect it using a metal stud crimper, without self-tapping screws. According to the author’s idea, such furniture turns out to be cheap, comfortable and light, and, for example, from a chair you can easily create an armchair, bench or sofa. An important aspect is the possibility of using used profiles, which makes this project eco-friendly and sustainable. Assembly instructions can be downloaded in a convenient format via a QR code, so that everyone can try to create such furniture for themselves. For the first time, this furniture was presented at the Jerusalem Design Week 2024.
