«Wyrd bi\ful arød» — fate inexorable.

WURT is a desktop-role game about the inevitability of fate and how people see it.
Alternative Northern Europe, the fifth century. Once upon a time, mankind was united. But winter came, and death came with it. Now people are divided into three species: the Cvergs, the Karlovs, and the Alvas. And everyone sees fate in their own way.

Game Focus
The game conveys the experience of mistaken confidence in its own future: the plot is known in advance but turns out to be contrary to expectations; the action pool is formed to the stage, but it still has to adapt to the circumstances; there are no failures, but «failure on the brink» is almost worse — a compromise with a negative sign. Together, it’s a simple thought:
You can’t change the outcome, but you choose how to reach it.
Heroes of players are from different species whose lives are determined by their vision of fate:
Certains
Destiny is a landmark. Everything is determined by the higher forces, and acceptance of fate is the only way.
Carles
Fate is an obstacle. It’s only for someone who doesn’t dare challenge fate.
Alva
Destiny is a consequence. She’s not on her own, she’s just a reaction to our actions.
The character’s face as a reflection of the idea
The character list contains a fraction of each of the characters. And his central symbol, the crow, binds all the elements together.
#font color="eaab4e»>The crow is always in plain sight, even when the leaf is bent — all the elements here depend on it.
At the top of the sheet is information about the character of the hero. The view is located in the center by no accident — it defines the particulars of the name, age and features.
Under the marks — rune icons linking them to attributes.
Between them is a bend line comparing these elements.
Attributes match the rune style under the line, because every dot in it represents the rune. Heroes are also associated with attributes — each badge reflects the essence of the whole species drawing power from this source.
Wrone is a collective image of thought and memory, past and future.
