Symphony Beyond the Lake

Every six months, six mystical beings of Slavic folklore gather by the lake to perform an ancient symphony hidden from human eyes. Led by Vodyanoy as the conductor, the ensemble consists of Rusalka and Sirin as the main vocalists, Leshy with his whispering flute, Domovoy with his household made instruments, and Baba Yaga striking rhythms upon her mortar.

Bound by the red ribbons they wear, these figures are believed to be chosen by fate itself, destined to gather beneath the silent night and continue the ritual beyond the lake.

Vodyanoy

The ruler of the lake and conductor of the ensemble. Vodyanoy can also command the voices of aquatic creatures, summoning fish and drowned spirits to form an eerie choir that echoes across the water during each performance.

Rusalka

A haunting spirit of the lake whose voice drifts softly through the night. Rusalka’s melodies lure both spirits and wanderers alike, blurring the line between comfort and danger.

Sirin

A mysterious birdwoman with a voice said to enchant anyone who hears it. Sirin harmonizes with Rusalka, her songs carrying an unsettling beauty that lingers long after the performance ends.

Domovoy

The smallest member of the ensemble and the keeper of household belongings. Eager to join the ritual, Domovoy gathers various kitchen utensils to create his own chaotic percussion set, turning ordinary household objects into instruments of rhythm.

Leshy

The guardian spirit of the forest who crafts his own flute from a branch grown from his body. Accompanied by a small bird perched upon his shoulder, Leshy’s melodies blend with the whispers of the woods as though both spirit and forest are singing together.

Baba Yaga

An ancient witch who transforms her flying mortar into a ceremonial hand drum. By stretching cloth tightly beneath the hollow mortar, Baba Yaga creates deep resonating rhythms that guide the pulse of the ritual performance.
