«Kaurka’s Adventures» is a children’s comic created as part of a contest organized by the «VOLIN» Training Center in collaboration with the IT College (Moscow) for the cultural and educational project «Kaurka.»
The work is executed in digital graphics with a rich palette, relying on VOLIN’s brand colors. The character of Kaurka retains the recognition established by the project.
The comic is structured as a miniature with classic dramatic arcs: setup (Kaurke needs to paint the client’s car) $\rightarrow$ conflict (the brushes are missing) $\rightarrow$ rising panic $\rightarrow$ unexpected resolution (the tail instead of the brush). The story fits across just a few pages, yet it maintains tension and delivers an emotional twist. The script is designed for a young audience: one character, one task, one solution—without extraneous details that a child wouldn’t grasp. This piece rejects «superheroic» tropes: the hero doesn’t save the world—they save the workday. The victory here is not over a villain, but over internal panic. The solution comes not through brute force, but through ingenuity and self-acceptance: even their own tail becomes a tool. It employs a simple, almost folkloric logic—what seems like an obstacle turns into the solution. The illustration and the narrative function as a pair, not separately. The rich color palette and crisp digital line maintain the dynamism; the rounded shapes soften the thematic «technicality» and add warmth. The visuals guide the reader through Kaurke’s emotions—from frenzy to calm resourcefulness—so that the meaning is understood even without text. The central image of the comic is the tail as a brush. It is a concise and memorable metaphor: the solution is nearby, one only has to stop panicking and look at the situation differently. The story teaches a simple lesson to the child—a way out always exists; the main thing is not to lose composure.
