OKOEMO team (Simha Brankovich & Oleolosha)presented artworks from the AES ALCHEMIA series.We created these pieces entirely with 4 hands, organically combining elements of chemistry, alchemy and own unique methods of working with metals (copper & brass).In artworks, we use proprietary aging and engraving techniques, giving each object its own distinct individuality 1.ETHER is made of natural copper, utilizing our specialized metal aging process and multiple oxidations. (It also known as the 5 element or quintessence, material that fills region of the universe beyond Earth) 2.ARCHAIC CULTURE crafted from brass with multilayer hand engraving.Fish forms reference artifacts bearing traces of prehistoric fish & ancient organisms found during archaeological excavations.The engraving reveals shine, brilliance & luster of the metal on the surface of aged, oxidized brass.
