RUTI: System Reboot

2D platformer in which you are the emergency recovery algorithm—RUTI, the last active memory cell in the core of a colossal supercomputer that has suffered a catastrophe.

Fix the broken modules, recover your carrier after the disaster, and discover what truly happened.

But after activation, the system is still unstable and tries to destroy you—study its logic and calculate your movements meticulously.

Backdoors—the game’s main feature beyond platforming. Ruti leaves them in the spot where she stands and can return to from any point on the level. The backdoor disappears when transitioning to another screen.

«Q» to place a backdoor, «E» to return.

Yellow spheres—these are lost data bits. Collect them on the levels and bring them to the broken modules.

On some levels, there are buttons. They activate certain parts of the system when Rusty stands on them, but then quickly revert to their original position.

Sometimes the system causes platforms to disappear and reappear according to a predefined cyclic algorithm. Catch the pattern and adapt to it.

The antivirus defense can seal parts of the system off from each other with lasers. Wait until it starts restarting, and then walk past.

Some areas in the system are so damaged that they start sparking. It’s better for Rudy not to get too close, or he’ll get sealed off too.

It’s better not to be in the scanner’s line of sight—wait until it turns away or find a place to hide.
