Textile «Biarmia» Gubina Elena, «Mojd» Concept: Patterns on fabrics are considered as amulets since ancient times. Entrance of the house and windows was framed by embroidery which gave protection to the house from evil spirits. Animals or ancestors are the guardians of the family illustrated on the patterns. Nowadays, patterns on fabrics are more of an aesthetic nature rather than protection from evil spirits. I want to bring joy to people’s everyday lives through prints. The textile pattern is rhythmic and repeatable, similar to a song. A visual song that fills the space with peace and harmony.
