By sketching the urban landscape, I deliberately imbue the existing reality with a quality of loss. Space functions as an unstable environment, devoid of a point of orientation. Architectural and landscape forms emerge not as objects, but as traces of memory’s presence.

The city functions not as an image, but as an environment of decay. I do not insist on the convincing nature of images—buildings, bridges, trees, etc. They are merely containers of condition, possessing ontological qualities.

The project «Stroll Along the Embankment» is a reflection on the global city, where reality is called into question. Balancing the literary narrative of memory with the reconstruction of current reality creates a new meaning for reading the city—the city as overgrown ruins.
