Mudra—a Sanskrit word signifying a symbolic hand gesture in Indian dance, yoga, and ritual. The typeface received this name because, much like a mudra, it is built upon a gesture—the calligraphic movement of the pen, where the letterform emerges from the fluidity of the hand.
