Culture Mirror is a project inspired by the Russian film Piter FM, reimagined through the emotional and social landscape of Mumbai. The project explores the quiet loneliness experienced within a constantly moving city, focusing on the fleeting yet meaningful moments of human connection that emerge in everyday life. Through the format of a podcast, the narrative captures small acts of help, brief encounters, and unnoticed interactions that define Mumbai’s spirit. These audio stories are accompanied by illustrations of iconic city locations, creating a visual and emotional map of Mumbai. By blending sound, storytelling, and illustration, the project reflects how urban isolation coexists with collective empathy. Mumbai Unsocial aims to portray Mumbai not just as a crowded metropolis, but as a space where transient moments of kindness become deeply personal experiences, connecting strangers in subtle yet powerful ways.
