The project addresses fading and vanished cities. The Nickel mining and metallurgical complex, which was the city’s economic anchor, has ceased operations, and gradually, people are leaving the area. One of the complex’s and the city’s symbols—three pipes visible from a distance—now has only one remaining. The project functions as an allusion to ancient, once-flourishing cities that have since devolved into sand and the stone ruins of porticos and columns. The material proposed for the installations plays a crucial role—it is slag from the copper-nickel ore production, resembling black volcanic sand of varying particle sizes, which stretches several kilometers alongside the city, forming a black desert.

Dimensions and Materials: Height 350 cm, width 250 cm, length 300 cm Slag, epoxy resin, steel frame, modular construction. The project was not implemented.
