A joint competition between Budapest Metropolitan University and the HSE Art and Design School invited students to reimagine the visual heritage of Hungarian cinema through alternative posters. For this project, I selected the film «Body and Soul» (original title: Testről és lélekről, dir. Ildikó Enedi, 2017) and created a series of posters based on it.

The visual key to the series became the depth map effect. Just as the relationship between the main characters develops, the dense material shell disappears, and we move layer by layer into the depth of the soul. The graphics strip the characters of their physical weight and all superfluous details, leaving only the contours of their inner energy.
