The series «Honeysuckle» consists of three vases of different sizes. They are made in the technique of harnessing clay with chamotte, covered with glaze and supplemented with decorative elements in the form of glass beads.
In the decoration and texture I wanted to convey the feeling of rough whitewashed walls of a wooden house, the beauty of a blooming garden and a child’s sense of excitement about the upcoming summer. This series is about my childhood, the place where I spent almost every summer with my sisters and brother. We learned to take care of ourselves and each other, made up games, and learned about the world. It was there that I first felt like an artist and fell in love with the beauty of my native land.
