The works in this series represent an exploration of the graphic potential within the specific materiality of different substances. The artifacts that emerge from experiments with fabric—relief and fissures, tears and seams—become a landscape, a material context for creating an abstract map composed of graphic elements. Fissures transform into the shadows of lines, and islets and fragments are denoted either by a closed contour or by filling them in. The map of geometric elements momentarily halts the momentum of movement within the fragile surface, fixing the position of its landscape.
