«Mayak» Academy in a historic building in Nizhny Novgorod

Fruit Design Studio was tasked with updating the Academy’s space based on three principles: heritage, innovation, and culture. Inside, Villeroy & Boch tiles are preserved, including Metlach ceramics and many other historical elements. The first floor is designed for citywide needs with lecture and exhibition halls. The lecture hall with an amphitheater and mobile stages has been updated, and the exhibition hall is open to all comers. The second floor is reserved for offices and educational halls with the possibility of transformation. All historical elements are preserved, and the floor is covered with carpet with a pattern of lighthouse lights. The third floor is reserved for an event hall with a height of more than twelve meters. As the main element, the Fruit Design Studio team created the Starry Sky light installation
