Death painted by life… The meaning of such an image is interesting: a skull with flowers denotes the cycle of life, illustrates its blossoming and logical conclusion. The work is made using the technique of artistic casting based on imprints of living plants. Several years ago, I came up with my own direction of botanical bas-relief. I began to make plaster panels, «painting» with plants. A complex but interesting technique that requires knowledge of plants, their shape, architecture and texture. I work intuitively, all my bas-reliefs are improvisation, although well prepared. It’s like jazz! Botanical jazz) To arouse interest, make you look at details, admire the variety of plant shapes and simply admire their aesthetic perfection… That’s what I always strive for when starting a new work.
