Project — a series of postcards created as promotional material for the «Electromechanics» festival by the Sergey Kuryokhin Center for Contemporary Art. The concept is based on the idea that everyday and industrial objects can transcend their utilitarian function and be perceived as acoustic units. In the spirit of the «Pop-Mechanics» group, sound arises not only from instruments but from the interaction of environment, mechanics, and noise. The series presents a collection of artificial «celebrations, ” where the dates are replaced by the fundamental states of ordinary objects rendered in musical form.
