*The presented photographs are concept sketches—they feature a reduced model of the installation I assembled in my studio. The installation, «There Is Nothing There,» is a layered structure composed of a facade mesh bearing applied graphics, construction netting of various gauges, and lighting elements. The backdrop plays a crucial role; complex shadows fall upon it, within which a clock is placed. In the final version of the installation, the light sources and shadows will move slowly (projection), and the clock mechanism, with its small dial and clearly visible hands, will be concealed, visible only by its shadow. An element of the installation is directional signage inscribed with «There Is Nothing There,» haphazardly pointing in various directions. The installation can also incorporate randomly placed, empty objects within the space—boxes, aquariums, picture frames—anything that can be described as «There Is Nothing There.»
