The series of objects is based on the visual documentation of the relationship between surface and light, comprising a set of models that demonstrate the variability of the interaction between these ontological categories.

The series is based on a modular system. Its core is formed by a truncated parallelepiped, composed of heterogeneous surfaces—representational (brick, metal, tile, corrugated sheet) and abstract.

The final assemblage form is painted with aerosol paint (white and black), which phenomenologically resembles diffused, indistinct light and shadow. The light renders the surface visible, revealing and emphasizing its plastic qualities, while the shadow, conversely, possesses an abstracting and subtractive function.

Development within the series is linked to a cataloging approach regarding the selected surfaces and a change in tonal gradation, with the spectral events centered on white and black as nodal points.
