
This is a state in which the normal world seems unrealistic: the sounds are muffled, the space is losing depth. A man sees everything through the glass — staying in reality, but not feeling it alive.
The project shows that derealization can be conditionally divided into 12 stages, ranging from a light sensory silence to a complete distortion of perception. In order to convey more accurately the subjective experience, I conducted interviews with people facing derealization. Their descriptions helped to form visual metaphors that reflected how they sense light, sound, space and time in different phases of this state.
