2Wired reflects the feeling of losing oneself in the internet age and a world surrounded by the stress of everyday life, it is inspired by the author’s personal experiences and the animated series «Serial Experiments Lain». The name «2Wired» can be interpreted as «too connected» or «wired up», and as [the message] «for Wired» (A reference to the name of the global network in the mentioned anime).
The track is composed of samples sourced from Looperman, as well as cut and processed songs: «Last Rally,» produced by Iyowa, and «Literature Girl Insane» by Karasuyasabou. Two songs being very different from each other, their combination allows the conveyance of complex emotions, ranging from pleasant nostalgia to fatalism and anger.

The samples were processed using Ableton’s built-in functions. Slicing and warp became the basis, as almost all of my samples needed to be edited to match the BPM, and pitch changes were also used a lot. Effects like reverb and sound erosion played a big role — they helped to achieve an effect similar to memories of something far away, in contrast to the close and sharp noise of drums.
