Expedition: Uranium Land

At the end of the 19th century, several foreign expeditions discovered in the heart of Africa a natural nuclear reactor around which uranium deposits were scattered throughout the plateau. Researchers take the uranium with them without even knowing what race they just started.

At the expense of a natural nuclear reactor that could have energyed groundwater, some part of Central Africa was able to survive an ice age without affecting flora and fauna. As a result, it has become a unique reserve for the extinct creatures — in its jungle, you can meet both a pavian and a saberly tiger with a tyrannosaurus. There is a more intelligent life in the New Earth — the Wakubwa tribe, which is fiercely guarding its lands and uranium idols.

Initially, when the first expeditions first arrived in the New Earth, uranium was not such a valuable resource for them, as it literally lay under their feet and did not look like precious metal. However, after a collapse in one of the uranium mines and subsequent flooding, it was discovered that enough uranium could boil water by generating energy. After that discovery and delivery of the first shipment of uranium to Europe, the era of uranium discoveries began. The cities began to feed on giant uranium pillows drowned in water tubs, which then stretched the shafts all over the city.

The discovery of new uranium energy has inevitably led to a succession of scientific discoveries and inventions. Uranium refrigerators have been introduced in the cities, connecting to the shafts through special bayonets, uranium wagons operating on pneumonia and spring cuts. The expeditions, in turn, produced exoskeleton loaders, steam packs and spring walkers. All of this has made it easier to extract uranium, but the right to extract it in the territory has to be fought.

Several colonies of different countries have settled on the continent, each of which you have a chance to meet during your adventure. Each one of them can be your enemy or ally, depending on whether you share its values and objectives or not.

Your research journey begins with a contract with the colony that hired you to look for uranium. You need to introduce yourself, choose your class of activity, specify your skills, describe the most significant moments of your past, describe the property, if any, and finally sign the entire case. Your background plays an equally important role in your adventure. Each of the three stories gives you points to choose the extra pepper from the class to which this history relates.

The tests shall be performed by means of a d6-pool: for each suitable skill, tool or condition: +1 cube; for adverse factors: -1. In the count of cubes, the lost duplicates (6 and 6, 1 and 1) are destroyed. If the total number of cubes is less than 0, 2d6 drops and takes the worst result. Similarly, the application of subjects: skills, conditions and biography affect the success of the application. Note, however, that only two actions can be performed by the character.
