Concept
Development of a personalized game controller featuring haptic feedback rendered through animated reactions. The central element is a girl whose emotions shift synchronously with the player’s actions. The design is based on a color palette of white and deep blue, borrowed from the animated series «Robot Teen’s Life and Adventures.»
Form

Search for form and size
To ensure a comfortable fit in the hand, the initial prototypes were made from papier-mâché and plastiline. This stage allowed for the calculation of precise dimensions, handle tilt angles, and spacing between control elements.
Sketches with dimensions and ergonomic features of the gamepad
Based on the measurements, drawings were created, and prototyping was repeated to refine the form.

Modeling and Visualization
Modeling
Visualization with textures
For the casing, clear glossy plastic was selected to reveal the joystick’s internal mechanical components (gears), and white matte, textured plastic was chosen to prevent slippage. Surface elements include rubberized joysticks and tactile vinyl buttons. This selection ensures both reliability and a pleasant tactile experience.
Perspective Visualization
The main feature was the integration of the central display. It shows the battery level, the owner’s nickname, and the character’s animated emotions in response to in-game achievements. The graphics are rendered in a pixel art style.
Soft rubber joysticks, tactile, responsive buttons, and translucent plastic create a premium feel.
