The project for the iconostasis of the church of the Tsivilsky Bogorodsky Monastery is a large‑scale three‑part composition that unites the central altar part and two side chapels into a single architectural ensemble. The artistic solution is based on a combination of strict rhythm, the plasticity of plant ornamentation, the warm texture of wood, and local gilded accents. The project was implemented by the workshop in a full cycle: from the artistic sketch, technical design, and 3D modelling to milling, woodworking, assembly, and installation. The combination of digital technologies and traditional carpentry skills ensured the accurate realization of the author’s concept in the material.
The project demonstrates the workshop’s ability to work not with a single item, but with an iconostasis complex as an architectural whole — a task that requires simultaneously maintaining the scale of the entire church space and ensuring jewel‑like precision in every carved element.
The carved decoration is integrated into the architectural structure of the iconostasis: the floral ornament fills the friezes, columns, frames, and panels, alternating with more restrained profiled surfaces.The gilded carved elements create additional light accents and emphasize the main compositional nodes against the backdrop of the warm wood.Geometric rhythm and the dynamic plasticity of the floral ornament.
