Installation «The Blue Room» by EDXXKAT & EKONIKA

The project is taking part in the competition

A collaboration between EDXXKAT and EKONIKA at the 12th International Contemporary Art Fair Cosmoscow.

The concept behind The Blue Room centers around the signature shade Blue River, evoking the tones of water, the planet, and the world of EKONIKA’s heroine.

The installation presents an imaginative interpretation of her personal space — a dreamlike room where the spotlight is on a collective image of the modern woman: someone who experiments with style every day while staying true to herself.

Inside the Blue Room, the heroine builds her own universe — a space where order and chaos, rules and mystery, movement and stillness coexist.

Imagine time standing still, as if in a fairytale. Visitors are invited to step into her world and immerse themselves in her reality. She was just here — can you picture the electrifying moment before an important evening? She puts on her favorite record; the music sets the rhythm. She flips through outfits, anticipating the night ahead. Suddenly, she notices the time — she’s late. A quick choice, a final glance, and she rushes out.

She’s gone, but the room still holds her presence: a soft mess, the record still playing, a half-finished coffee on the vanity, and the lingering trace of her perfume in the air.

For The Blue Room project, EDXXKAT founders Eduard Eremchuk and Katya Pyatitskaya created exclusive furniture pieces: a capsule wardrobe and a vanity table, both debuting at Cosmoscow, alongside a chair and sofa from the Alien series. All items are crafted in celestial blue, featuring rounded shapes and unconventional proportions.

The atmosphere of a lived-in space is enhanced by EKONIKA’s shoes, bags, and accessories — all designed in the signature Blue River shade specially for the installation.
