Vodyanoy is an aerial creature. It can transform into a human form when it is about to prey on its target, thus deceiving other humans.

DOMOVOY

Original size 3720x5262

Domovoy is a spirit that haunts a house. Here, I’ve combined it with the Indonesian mythological creature tuyul, which has similar physical characteristics but a benevolent nature. Its baldness and wearing only underwear are its defining characteristics.

SOLOVOY

Original size 3720x5262

Solovoy is a cunning creature. So here I combine it with a puppet character in Indonesia named Sengkuni, who is famous for his cunning nature. So I combined it into the character of Solovoy who is clever and cunning.

RUSALKA

Original size 3720x5262

Rusalka is a beautiful but deadly creature. It has a sad backstory, as she died because of a love affair. Therefore, I combined it with the Javanese bridal design in Indonesia, which is closely associated with romance. This resulted in the Rusalka design, which has a backstory that stems from her ending her life in a lake on her wedding day, and ultimately haunting the local community.

LESHY

Original size 3720x5262

Leshy is a forest creature that’s inherently good. But here, I’ve combined it with the Indonesian mythical character, the Genderuwo. This new Leshy can adapt to its surroundings, becoming evil when its habitat is destroyed, or benevolent when others are kind to it.

KIKIMORA

Original size 3720x5262

Kikimora is a kind-hearted house spirit. She has an ugly face but a gentle heart. She is depicted wearing the Indonesian jarik (traditional Javanese robe), thus portraying a motherly and gentle nature, though she rarely appears.
