«Fire Horse» is a Victorian puzzle card dedicated to the coming year 2026 of the Red Fire Horse.
My job was to make a creative handmade card with a 2026 symbol. I’ve decided to create an origami-opener that consists of step-by-step parts that help reveal the character, the Fire Horse.
Process of establishment
As a material, I used a crisp capillary pen, which could be interesting to pass the strokes and the color on the paper. Its great advantage is its ability to «don’t smudge.»
The card is divided into three parts. The viewer gradually unveils it in order to reach the «targets» — the symbol of 2026.
Main part (last) with Red Fire Horse.
Details of the illustrations
The card was made on tight invoicing paper 200g/m2 so it’s nice to keep it in hand.
