To shoot the project, I chose a tea party at the Girls' Club. The Girls — women aged 55 and more — gather several times a month in the former school building to discuss pressing issues over a cup of tea, make winter preserves, or put on a holiday concert.
Mature age is a time in life when a person willingly shares their knowledge with younger people. It seems to me that age is inextricably linked to the memories of one’s life.
Age is the opportunity to reconsider one’s life, share the experience, and do what one really likes. Without rushing anywhere.
Many of my childhood memories of my grandmother’s house are inextricably linked to family gatherings. It was always something fun: songs, dances, poems, or the lottery of luck «Who gets a penny in the dumpling?» I have always associated meals with conversation. My grandmother and her peers often told stories about their childhood and shared their experiences. When I grew up, the tradition of group meals in my family ceased to exist. But in my memory it is still kept to this day.
