This is a complex, non-linear book composed of fragments of various information regarding Uyghurs.
This project involves research into the challenges of assimilation for a small ethnic minority group in China, as well as the levels of crime and the rehabilitation camps. The study examines life in the Xinjiang region, which incorporates high technology such as retinal scanning, QR codes on residences containing resident information, and a rating system. In parallel with the research, personal narratives were collected—stories where individuals share their experiences and accounts of how they entered the camps and how their lives have changed.

Images overlap, entering the page from one corner and leaving two sides cropped. It is as if we are piling up photographs, assembling memories from fragments that remain in our minds.
